Job summary

Meijer Inc. in Indiana is seeking a Pharmacist to fill prescriptions accurately, educate technicians, and maintain strong patient relationships while upholding Meijer policies and federal/state laws.

You will lead pharmacy operations in the pharmacist in charge absence, oversee immunization services where allowed, and motivate the team to deliver exceptional service. Meijer offers weekly pay, scheduling flexibility, parental leave, education assistance, and career development opportunities

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree or Doctorate of Pharmacy.
• Registered and licensed in the state of practice.
• Certified Immunization Pharmacist (except Indiana) Retail/Community Practice.
• Working knowledge of pharmacy system, policies and procedures, understanding of regulatory in the state the unit operates.

Responsibilities

• Fill prescriptions safely and accurately.
• Maintain positive relationships with patients, team members and leadership.
• Hold pharmacy technicians accountable and help grow the pharmacy business.
• Educate and mentor pharmacy technicians to be effective team members.
• Motivate team members to perform at their highest level.
• Comply with Meijer Policies and Procedures and state/federal laws.
• Communicate effectively and be an agent of change.
• Stay organized and prioritize workload.
• Listen to patients and resolve needs; provide customer service.
• In absence of the pharmacist in charge, oversee pharmacy operations.
• Perform and oversee clinical services, including immunizations where allowed.

Education

Bachelor of Science Degree or Doctorate of Pharmacy

Registered and licensed in the state of practice

Certified Immunization Pharmacist (except Indiana) Retail/Community Practice
