Job Purpose and Summary

The Pharmacy Manager Emerging Leader (PMEL) plays a critical role in cultivating a culture of excellence in their pharmacy, acting as a role model, demonstrating genuine care, and developing leadership skills for future roles.

As a PMEL, you will build upon your skills as a Staff or District Support Pharmacist, completing a self-paced, collaborative training roadmap to prepare for a Pharmacy Manager role, typically within 3-6 months.

Responsibilities

1. Manage and improve patient health through safe dispensing, counseling, and immunizations.
2. Support the Pharmacy Manager by overseeing pharmacy operations during shifts and coaching team members.
3. Take on pharmacy duties independently when serving as the primary pharmacist.
4. Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory, and CVS policies.
5. Support patient care with empathy, collaboration, and proactive issue resolution.
6. Administer immunizations and support team learning in this area.
7. Manage inventory, especially cold chain products, following best practices.
8. Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations and escalate issues as needed.
9. Support scheduling, team dynamics, and ongoing professional development.
10. Engage in clinical services and adhere to all legal and ethical standards.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of experience as a Staff or District Support Pharmacist
• Active Pharmacist License in the store’s state
• Active NPI
• Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list

Additional Requirements

• Regular attendance, including nights and weekends
• Ability to complete training on time
• Strong communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills
• Physical ability to perform job duties

• 1+ years of related experience
• Willingness to work at multiple locations

• Pay Range: $60.00 - $74.00 per hour
