Our Staff Pharmacists play a critical role in:

1. Cultivating a culture of excellence in their pharmacy by acting as a role model, demonstrating genuine care, and setting the bar for the pharmacy team.
2. Supporting the Pharmacy Manager in leading and directing the pharmacy team, and being accountable for the management, oversight, and operation of all aspects within the pharmacy.

The responsibilities of a Staff Pharmacist include, but are not limited to:

• Living our purpose by helping to manage and improve patient health through safe and appropriate dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices.
• Taking direction from the Pharmacy Manager and overseeing the pharmacy during shifts, including coaching and providing feedback to the pharmacy team.
• Assuming the Pharmacy Manager’s duties when serving as the primary pharmacist-on-duty.
• Supporting safe and accurate prescription fulfillment and contributing to positive patient experiences through empathy and collaboration.
• Proactively offering and delivering immunizations, supporting pharmacy technicians in immunization procedures.
• Managing pharmacy inventory effectively, with a focus on protecting cold chain products.
• Ensuring pharmacy operations comply with state Board of Pharmacy regulations, escalating issues as needed.
• Remaining flexible for scheduling and business needs, supporting a safe and inclusive team environment.
• Maintaining clinical and technical skills, seeking opportunities for professional development.
• Supporting access to care through pharmacist-delivered clinical services where permitted.
• Understanding and complying with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies to ensure patient safety and a secure workplace.
