Job Purpose and Summary

Our Staff Pharmacists play a vital role in cultivating a culture of excellence by acting as role models, demonstrating genuine care, and setting high standards for the pharmacy team. They support the Pharmacy Manager in leading the team and are responsible for managing all aspects of pharmacy operations, supporting patient health, and ensuring compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Managing patient health through safe dispensing, counseling, and immunizations
• Overseeing pharmacy operations in the absence of the Pharmacy Manager
• Supporting safe prescription fulfillment and pharmacy workflow
• Providing empathetic patient care and resolving insurance or medication issues
• Administering immunizations and supporting staff learning
• Managing inventory, especially cold chain products
• Ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations
• Supporting scheduling and staff development
• Maintaining clinical and technical skills
• Providing clinical services like testing and prescribing where permissible
• Adhering to all applicable laws, policies, and ethical standards

Minimum Qualifications

• Active Pharmacist License in the state of employment
• Active National Provider Identifier (NPI)
• Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list

Additional Requirements

• Regular attendance, including nights and weekends
• Ability to complete required training
• Strong communication, customer service, and team skills
• Physical ability to perform job tasks, including lifting and standing for extended periods
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

• 1-2 years of relevant experience in pharmacy or related fields
• Flexibility to work at different locations as needed
