Role Overview: Our Staff Pharmacists play a critical role in cultivating a culture of excellence in their pharmacy by acting as a role model for all, demonstrating genuine care, and setting the bar for the pharmacy team. You will support the Pharmacy Manager in leading and directing the pharmacy team, and be accountable for managing all aspects within your pharmacy.

2. Living our purpose by helping to manage and improve patient health through safe and appropriate dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices.
3. Taking direction from the Pharmacy Manager and overseeing the pharmacy as their proxy during bench shifts, including coaching and providing feedback to pharmacy team members.
4. Assuming the Pharmacy Manager’s duties when serving as the primary pharmacist-on-duty.
5. Supporting safe and accurate prescription fulfillment by following pharmacy workflow procedures and safety protocols.
6. Contributing to positive patient experiences through empathy, collaboration, and proactive resolution of insurance or medication issues.
7. Offering and delivering immunizations and supporting pharmacy technicians in immunization procedures.
8. Managing pharmacy inventory effectively, with a focus on protecting cold chain products.
9. Ensuring compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and CVS policies, escalating issues as needed.
10. Remaining flexible for scheduling and business needs, supporting the pharmacy team, and maintaining a safe, inclusive environment.
11. Maintaining and expanding clinical and technical skills through ongoing education and training.
12. Supporting access to care through pharmacist-delivered clinical services where permissible.
13. Adhering to all federal and state laws, regulations, and professional standards to ensure patient safety and privacy.
