About

We are looking for an efficient, flexible, and highly motivated Staff Pharmacist to join our Easton Medicap team!

Under indirect supervision, provides a full range of patient services by filling prescriptions, counseling patients, supervising Pharmacy Technicians, and providing professional services. Ensures all services comply with professional standards and applicable laws.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

The following duties are typical for this position. They are not exhaustive. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

• Interprets prescriptions, checks for drug interactions and allergies, enters data into the computer system, and supervises Technicians to ensure accuracy.
• Serves patients by counseling over the phone and in person, providing medication instructions, answering questions, and consulting with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
• Reviews inventory daily, places medication orders as needed, and maintains appropriate stock levels.
• Ensures proper billing in compliance with insurance plans, CMS, and state pharmacy laws.
• Counsels patients on their treatment programs, discusses disease management and treatment options, and ensures understanding and adherence.
• Maintains current state pharmacy license.
• Operates the computer and cash register efficiently.
• Supports store profitability by controlling operational expenses and maximizing sales.
• Maintains punctuality and develops professional relationships with patients, customers, and co-workers.
• Follows security procedures, including alarm setting and safe securing.
• Maintains a perpetual Schedule II inventory.
• Completes third-party rejections.
• Prepares daily and weekly reports.
• Follows company procedures for dispensing incidents, including notification and reporting.
• Ensures compliance with all laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or PharmD from an accredited college.
• Active, unrestricted Pharmacy license in the state.
• One to two years of related experience or equivalent education and experience.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
