Pharmacist Opportunity Full-Time Position in Kokomo, IN
We are currently hiring a Staff Pharmacist for a newly opened outpatient pharmacy embedded within a primary care clinic in Kokomo, Indiana. This is a rare chance to work in a collaborative healthcare setting alongside physicians, pediatricians, and internal medicine providers right where decisions are made and care is delivered.
The pharmacy officially launched on June 3, and following the internal promotion of the previous pharmacist to Director, the team is now seeking a dependable professional ready to step in and contribute immediately.
Position Overview
Location: Kokomo, IN
Start Date: Immediate
Schedule:
Monday Thursday: 8:00 AM 5:00 PM
Friday: 8:00 AM 4:00 PM
Lunch: 12:00 PM 1:00 PM
Workdays: No weekend or holiday shifts required
Work Environment
This role is based in a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) and operates under the 340B Drug Pricing Program, offering a high-impact role serving underserved communities. You ll work within a modern clinic using Liberty RX pharmacy software and benefit from daily interaction with medical providers to optimize patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and verify prescription medications for dispensing or delivery
Oversee daily inventory, supply orders, and stock control
Maintain storage protocols for all medications, including controlled substances
Communicate with prescribers to resolve prescription issues when needed
Support telepharmacy services as applicable
Manage records related to patients, inventory, and insurance claims
Assist in maintaining compliance with all state and federal pharmacy regulations
Collaborate with leadership to ensure smooth workflow and team efficiency
Candidate Requirements
Active Indiana pharmacist license
Immunization certification required
Clinical or retail experience preferred
Strong communication and documentation skills
Bilingual (Spanish-speaking) preferred but not required
Must submit resume, license verification, and references
