Wedgewood Pharmacy in Chandler, AZ is seeking a licensed Pharmacist to supervise technicians, review prescriptions for accuracy, and ensure regulatory compliance across sterile and non-sterile compounding.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy degree required (BS or PharmD) and AZ pharmacist license or eligible.
• Experience with non-sterile and sterile compounding preferred.
• Strong knowledge of pharmacy laws, regulations, and quality standards.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise pharmacy technicians engaged in compounding, filling, labeling, and preparing prescriptions.
• Review and verify prescriptions for accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance.
• Communicate with prescribers regarding prescription clarifications, refill authorizations, and patient-specific needs.
• Ensure compounded medications meet quality, potency, and pharmaceutical standards.
• Maintain compliance with USP guidelines, Board of Pharmacy regulations, and company policies.
• Support a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by pharmacy leadership.

The Basics

Location: Chandler, AZ
Job Type: Full-Time
Compensation: $70/hr
Schedule: Shifts are based on business needs and may vary. Pharmacists support operations across multiple schedules, including weekdays and weekends.

• Morning Shift: As early as 5:00 AM
• Evening Shift: Until 10:00 PM
• Weekend Hours: Between 8:00 AM – 6:30 PM

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (BS) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree.
• Active Arizona Pharmacist license or ability to obtain Arizona licensure.
