Job summary

Amazon in Manchester, NH is seeking a Pharmacist to join our pharmacy operations team. This role involves dispensing medications, verifying orders, and managing the full prescription fulfillment process from initiation to final packaging and shipment.

You will collaborate with the pharmacy staff to ensure quality assurance, adhere to federal and state regulations, and answer clinical questions while delivering exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Science or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) required or equivalent.
  • Active pharmacist license in state of employment preferred or required.
  • Good interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to perform basic computer functions and navigate standard software.

Responsibilities

  • Verify medication quality and perform QA checks on all dispenses.
  • Collaborate with pharmacist colleagues to ensure quality checks before shift end.
  • Handle dispensing, verification and packing for shipment and pharmacist verifications.
  • Complete housekeeping tasks in the pharmacy and manage medication substitutions.

This role will require hands‑on involvement in the operation, handling tasks ranging from dispensing medications to managing the entire process of prescription fulfillment, ensuring completion from initiation to the final stage. This includes, filling, verifying and packing orders for shipment, in addition to pharmacist verifications.

Role also involves:
  • Management and maintenance of customer profiles in PharmacyOS
  • Initial prescription order processing and verification
  • Prescription transfer coordination
  • New prescription acquisition and processing
  • Focus on system‑based verification and documentation

Key job responsibilities
  • Verify medication quality assurance for all packet and bulk dispenses.
  • Collaborate with other staff pharmacist to ensure all produced packet and bulk sets undergo a thorough quality assurance check prior to shift end.
  • Collaborate with other staff pharmacist to ensure all production relative to new business lines undergoes a thorough quality assurance check prior to shift end.
  • Complete ancillary housekeeping pharmacy tasks including checking returns, inputting medication rejects, overseeing medication substitutions, and canister approval.
  • Answer clinical questions, provide clinical guidance
  • Investigate errors and facilitate proper resolution and reporting.
  • Collate and deliver pertinent pharmacy information to distribution team.
  • Ensure compliance with all company procedures, Federal/State laws, rules and regulations.
  • Collaborate with other members of the pharmacy team to maintain customer satisfaction.

Basic Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Science, or Doctor of Pharmacy in PharmD, or Doctor of Pharmacy

  • Knowledge of pharmacy laws and federal/state regulations concerning patient care
  • Knowledge of Knowledge of Windows desktop environment and use of Word, Excel, IE, Firefox etc
  • Can have an active and unrestricted pharmacist license in your state of employment (additional licenses may be required)
  • Exemplary interpersonal communication skills including written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to perform basic computer functions.
  • Warehouse work, including the ability to lift 20lbs

Preferred Qualifications:- Experience in LTC or Retail Setting

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
