Staff Pharmacist - Accredo - Whitestown, IN (Finance)

This position is work site dependent and can only be performed onsite at our Whitestown, IN location.

The shift for this position is Monday-Friday, 1:00 pm - 9:30 pm. Portions of this shift are eligible for a shift differential.

Position Summary

The Staff Pharmacist is responsible for verifying and dispensing medications within corporate and regulatory guidelines. This role involves tracking order status, potentially training less experienced pharmacists, and performing product verification with flexibility.

Essential Functions

1. Provide oversight and quality assurance to pharmacy technicians.
2. Interpret prescriptions from physicians or prescribers.
3. Verify and confirm the validity of controlled substances.
4. Verify prescription information entered into the system.
5. Back up other pharmacists as needed and perform additional duties or training as assigned.

Qualifications

1. Current resident pharmacist license in good standing.
2. Strong problem-solving skills and collaborative work ability.
3. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
4. Ability to read and interpret prescriptions accurately.
