Job summary

Soliant is seeking a Staff Pharmacist for a 2nd shift position in a closed-door mail order environment. This 13-week contract includes supervision of pharmacy technicians with weekday hours from 12:30 PM to 9:00 PM, and potential Saturday coverage.

The ideal candidate holds a PharmD, Indiana license, and 1–3 years of retail experience. California license or reciprocity may be required or compensated; travel up to 5% may be necessary.

Qualifications

• PharmD degree required.
• Indiana Pharmacy License mandatory.
• 1–3 years of retail pharmacy experience.
• California Pharmacy License preferred or willingness to reciprocate (costs provided).
• Supervisory experience with pharmacy technicians is highly valued.
• Flexibility for up to 5% travel.

Responsibilities

• Dispense medications accurately per prescription orders.
• Provide thorough medication counseling on use, side effects, and interactions.
• Review physician orders for appropriateness of therapy.
• Monitor regimens for contraindications and interactions.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to improve patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate patient records, including histories and allergies.
• Ensure compliance with pharmacy laws and regulations.
• Manage storage and handling of medications and expiration monitoring.
• Participate in quality assurance and continuous improvement programs.
• Assist with inventory oversight and stocking of supplies.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and promote services.
• Stay updated on pharmacy practices through ongoing professional development.
