Job summary

PharmPro in Philadelphia, PA is seeking a Staff Pharmacist for a customer on a contract/temporary basis to start ASAP. The role requires PA licensure, experience with sterile and non-sterile compounding, and familiarity with automation and hospital settings.

Responsibilities include verification of orders, DURs, medication reviews, and collaboration with providers and staff to ensure patient safety and care plan adherence.

Qualifications

• Licensed Pharmacist in PA.
• Experience in compounding on sterile and non-sterile products; chemo a plus.
• Experience with DURs, drug interactions and therapeutic duplication reviews.

Responsibilities

• Verify orders entered by technician staff for accuracy.
• Conduct DURs, allergy checks, drug interactions, and therapeutic duplication reviews.
• Review MARs, provider notes, facility orders, and eMAR entries for clarity and compliance.
• Ensure accurate entry of orders and check completeness and precision of new orders.
• Check content and accuracy of all drug packaging and labeling.
• Provide clinical recommendations to providers, nurses, and caregivers.

Job description

PharmPro is seeking a Staff Pharmacist for our customer in Philadelphia, Pa. This role is a Contract / Temporary Role available to start, ASAP.

• Pennsylvania Licensed Pharmacist
• Compounding/Sterile and Non-Sterile Experience (Chemo is a PLUS)
• Hours: 8:30am-5:00pm
• Experience with Automated Dispensing Machines Preferred.
• Hospital Experience preferred.
• National certification preferred

Medication Verification & Clinical Review

• Verify orders entered by technician staff for accuracy.

Clinical & Patient-Centered Care

• Provide clinical recommendations to providers, nurses, and caregivers.
• Review PRN and routine medications for appropriateness and resident safety.
• Support high-risk medication monitoring (e.g., anticoagulants, insulin, psychiatric medications).
• Assist with Consulting Pharmacist duties, including Medication Regimen Reviews (MRR).
• Participate in care plan meetings, audits, and quality improvement initiatives.
