Strive Pharmacy, a patient‑focused compounding pharmacy in Leesburg, VA, seeks a licensed Pharmacist to verify prescriptions, validate compounded lots, and ensure dosing accuracy. You will uphold USP 795/800 guidelines and Strive SOPs in a fast‑paced onsite setting.

Ideal candidates have a PharmD or BS in Pharmacy with an active Virginia license and experience in compounding, including automated equipment. The role offers full‑time onsite work with a supportive benefits package.

Responsibilities

Position Type:

Full-Time, Onsite

Position Schedule:

7:00am - 6:00pm window however this shift will mostly be 10:00am - 6:00pm (with ability to occasionally shift to support coverage as neeeded)

Position Overview:

Play a pivotal role in providing patient centered care by verifying patient specific prescriptions, validating compounded lots, and upholding compliance to USP <795> and USP <800> guidelines. Ensure appropriate dosing and verify compounded medications while upholding quality control and compliance according to Strive Pharmacy Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Key Responsibilities:

• Performing calculations to ensure ingredients within a formula are measured and utilized properly
• Visually checking and finalizing lots compounded in sterile and non-sterile labs
• Visually checking individual prescriptions to ensure color, consistency, and general appearance
• Checking entered prescriptions for accuracy and appropriateness
• Perform inventory maintenance (Product check-in, Product disposal sign off, and more)
• Verifying prescriptions for completeness and accuracy

Required Qualifications:

• BS of Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) Degree
• VA State Board of Pharmacy Pharmacist License, active and in good standing
• Familiar with USP 795 and USP 800 guidelines

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in compounding
• Experience with automated compounding equipment

This position is primarily based in an onsite work environment. The role requires regular periods of sitting, standing, and computer use, with occasional lifting as needed. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.
