Role Overview

Our Staff Pharmacists play a critical role in cultivating a culture of excellence in their pharmacy by acting as a role model for all, demonstrating genuine care, and setting the bar for the pharmacy team. As a Staff Pharmacist, you support the Pharmacy Manager in leading and directing the pharmacy team, and are accountable for supporting the management, oversight, and operation of all aspects within your pharmacy.

Responsibilities

1. Manage and improve patient health through safe and appropriate dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices.
2. Oversee pharmacy operations during bench shifts, providing coaching and feedback to the team.
3. Serve as the primary pharmacist-on-duty when required, assuming the Pharmacy Manager’s duties.
4. Support safe prescription fulfillment and ensure adherence to workflow procedures.
5. Enhance patient experience with empathy, collaboration, and proactive issue resolution.
6. Administer immunizations and support pharmacy technicians in immunization delivery.
7. Manage pharmacy inventory, focusing on cold chain products and best practices.
8. Ensure compliance with all regulations and company policies, escalating issues as needed.
9. Maintain and develop clinical and technical skills, seeking opportunities for growth.
10. Support clinical services like testing and prescribing where permissible.
11. Adhere to federal and state laws, regulations, and ethical standards, ensuring a safe and inclusive workplace.
