Crouse’s Pharmacy team is hiring a Staff Pharmacist.

Pay Range:

Available Schedule(s):

  • Per diem – scheduled as needed, 7:00am-3:30pm; 3:00pm-11:30pm; 11:00pm-7:30am
Staff Pharmacist Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate medication orders against patient-specific parameters, resolve issues using hospital guidelines or with providers, and document interventions.
  • Initiate substitution of formulary medications when clinically appropriate.
  • Document all clinical activities appropriately.
  • Review orders for IV contrast provided by Radiology.
  • Utilize hospital and pharmacy computer systems efficiently.
  • Ensure products are properly labeled before dispensing.
  • Maintain working stock of medications and supplies.
  • Ensure proper storage of medications.
  • Charge patients, nursing units, or departments for dispensed medications and utilized materials.
  • Dispense a 24-hour supply of unit dose medications for new orders.
  • Check unit dose carts filled and prepackaged medications prepared by pharmacy assistants.
Staff Pharmacist Requirements:
  • Current New York State Pharmacy License.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills and interpersonal skills to interact with healthcare professionals and hospital staff.
