Grace Health is hiring a Staff Pharmacist for an outpatient/retail setting in Battle Creek, MI. The role emphasizes accuracy, patient care, and teamwork in a busy pharmacy of 25+ staff. Eligible candidates bring a Pharm.D. or B.S.

in Pharmacy and at least 1 year of experience, along with an active state pharmacy license. The position offers a sign-on bonus and benefits, with no weekend shifts. Shifts are 10 hours, Monday–Friday, supporting community health goals and accessible care for patients

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor of Science Degree in Pharmacy or Pharm.D. required.
• Experience: Minimum 1-year experience
• Certificate/License: Current state license to practice pharmacy

Responsibilities

• Accept, validate, interpret and process prescription orders.
• Initiate and complete calls with providers regarding appropriate drug therapy.
• Answer questions and provide information to customers on drug interactions, side effects, dosage, storage of pharmaceuticals.
• Verify technician’s preparation and labeling of pharmaceuticals, order entries, charges, and inspections.
• Maintain procedures concerning quality assurance, security of controlled substances, and disposal of hazardous waste drugs.
• Ensure pharmacy is compliant with best practices for 340B pharmacies.
• Complete pharmacy operational requirements by directing technicians’ workflow and verifying their work.
• Responsible for Formulary Management – including Therapeutic Interchange or Substitution, and Coverage Review Programs.

Education

Job description

Staff Pharmacist – No Weekends, No Holidays + Sign-On Bonus!

Candidate must be available Monday-Friday from 7am until the pharmacy is closed at 7pm.

10-hour shifts available

Seeking a candidate with a passion to improve the health of the community in an outpatient/retail setting for people often presenting with barriers to receiving or understanding health care. Must thrive in a fast-paced environment and work well with a large pharmacy team (staff of 25+). Preference given to those with experience with any of the following: independent pharmacy practice, 340B program, custom medication packaging, immunizations, and mental health medications.
