Responsibilities

• Provide age-appropriate assessment and interventions to meet the needs of patients and families.
• Obtain, evaluate, and use information from the patient requisition, medical records, referring physician, and correlate with acquired images.
• Use cognitive sonographic skills to identify and differentiate anatomy and pathology.
• Use independent judgment to produce diagnostic images of human anatomy utilizing diagnostic ultrasound systems for our referring providers and interpreting physicians.
• Extend courtesy to patients, family members, visitors, and co-workers through our "World Class Practices" Service Standards.

Position Details

This position supports the West Valley Region, including UCLA Health Calabasas Imaging Center, Westlake Village Women's Imaging Center, Encino Interventional and Imaging Center, and UCLA Thousand Oaks Primary & Specialty Care. It involves on-call, holiday, and weekend schedules, rotating shifts as needed.

Candidate Levels and Qualifications

Staff Sonographer

• 1-2 years of hospital/acute care experience
• Active RDMS certification in one specialty (e.g., Abdomen or OB-GYN)
• CAAHEP-accredited ultrasound program preferred
• Salary Range: $55.94 - $73.81 Hourly

Senior Sonographer

• Minimum of 4 years hospital/acute care experience
• Active RDMS certification in three specialties: Abdomen, OB-GYN, RVT
• Proficiency in Abdomen, OB/Gyn, Pediatric, and Vascular Sonography; interventional procedures preferred
• CAAHEP-accredited ultrasound school preferred
• Salary Range: $62.43 - $76.12 Hourly
