Staff or Senior Staff Geotechnical Engineer

Job Description: Ninyo & Moore has an immediate opening for a Staff or Senior Staff Geotechnical Engineer responsible for conducting geotechnical investigations and analysis, performing boring layout for utility clearance, supervising drill rigs, classifying soils, logging borings, test pits, and cores, performing floor level surveys, testing and observation services, reviewing plans and specifications, and preparing geotechnical reports and letters. The Senior Staff Geotechnical Engineer will also handle laboratory testing and geotechnical calculations related to slope stability, liquefaction, dynamic settlement, and pile design.

Education: B.S. /B.A. in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Geological Engineering.

Required Skills: 2+ years of experience in geotechnical consulting, with a thorough understanding of soil mechanics and geotechnical engineering. Excellent communication skills, positive attitude, organizational skills, and a strong work ethic are essential. Ability to work independently and in teams is required.
