Job summary

Samsara is seeking a Lead Firmware Engineer to drive development for connected sensors, gateways, and other IoT devices from hardware bring-up to drivers and OTA updates.

You will collaborate with hardware, product, cloud, mobile and quality teams while mentoring engineers to deliver reliable, secure, power-efficient devices at fleet scale.

Qualifications

8+ years of firmware experience in resource-constrained systems.
Bare-metal and RTOS expertise; fluent in C.
Led multiple products from concept to launch with cross-team leadership.

Requirements

Requires 8+ years of firmware experience with resource-constrained systems, substantial bare-metal and RTOS expertise, fluency in C, and hands-on experience bringing up boards and debugging hardware interfaces. Candidates should have led multiple products from concept to launch, demonstrated cross-team technical leadership, and be able to deliver reliable firmware using sound testing and documentation practices.
