Position Summary

Responsible for evaluating and treating patients within the WashU Eye Center.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

• Evaluates and treats patients including refractive exams, contact lens fitting and dispensing, emergency exams, and evaluation of medical eye diseases.
• Discusses and interprets findings with patients and recommends appropriate remedies.
• Adheres to compliance guidelines, including proper coding of services and diagnoses.
• Follows quality, safety, and hazardous material procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the director of ophthalmology.
