Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking an Optical Test & Calibration Engineer for AR/VR displays to strengthen our EagleEye program. You will lead development of advanced optical test stations and calibrations for state-of-the-art near-to-eye displays, supporting Both R&D and production ramp.

The role requires deep optics knowledge, strong data analysis, and the ability to work with international suppliers; travel up to 25% is expected. Competitive benefits and equity are offered.

Qualifications

• BS in Optical Engineering or related field; equivalent experience accepted.
• Experience delivering production-ready optical test stations to suppliers.
• Knowledge of image quality metrics and data analysis methods.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 25%.
• Knowledge of electro-optical system design, development, manufacturing, and testing.

Responsibilities

• Lead integration and test for optical test stations, especially near-to-eye displays.
• Coordinate with optical suppliers for procurement and QC, including verification and anomaly resolution.
• Develop and bring up display test stations from requirements through vendor build and installation.
• Create alignment plans and procedures for optical test equipment.
• Manage test vendors to scale production of complex display assemblies.
• Review test setups, procedures, and data to transition from R&D to production.
• Validate measurement capability with Gauge R&R, MSA, and T-equivalents; set test limits.
• Analyze prototype and production optical system performance to identify root causes.
• Interface with test and evaluation teams for lab and field testing.
• Support NPI builds on site with rapid-response test support.
