Job summary

UNC Health Care is seeking a Staff Occupational Therapist to provide patient care assessments and treatment in a per diem capacity at UNC Lenoir Health Care. The role includes program development, mentoring colleagues, and leading occupational therapy initiatives within a hospital setting.

Responsibilities include collaboration with the multidisciplinary team, education for patients and families, and participation in CQI activities while maintaining a focus on exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current NC Board of Occupational Therapy license.
• Strong analytical and communication skills; ability to mentor staff and students.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessment, treatment, and program development.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to Therapists, Assistants, Technicians and Students.
• Plan and conduct occupational therapy programs within hospital settings.
• Collaborate with other healthcare team members to deliver high-quality care and participate in CQI activities.
• Contribute to excellent customer service within the department and hospital.
