Job description

USD $34.34 per hour. USD $53.23 per hour.

Sign‑on bonus up to $30,000.00.

Overview

The Staff Occupational Therapist is responsible for providing and coordinating comprehensive care to patients of all ages through the proper utilization of evaluation, planning and implementation of a treatment plan in accordance with established standards, policies, procedures, protocols and guidelines. Licensure/Certification/Registry

Current Illinois Licensure as Occupational Therapist or license eligible required.

Healthcare Provider or Instructor BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Licensed or license pending in the State of Illinois without previous disciplinary action in Illinois or other states.
• Current CPR card.

Responsibilities

• Knowledge of proper procedure for all Occupational therapy modalities, including age‑specific precautions and contra‑indications.
• Consistently and thoroughly evaluates patients with differing diagnoses and devises an individualized, comprehensive plan of care based on facts and best practice.
• Recommends and performs treatment as ordered by referring physician.
• Educates about disease process, equipment use, and rehabilitation techniques, as appropriate.
• Actively researches and develops new services and suggests improvements to existing services.

• Participate in marketing activities to maintain high caseload for IP and OP.
• Performs other related work as required or requested.
