Job summary

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is seeking a Staff Nurse to manage and provide nursing care to patients and families, and to direct and supervise nursing care by the patient care team.

The Women & Infants Float Pool supports maternal and neonatal units, including Labor & Delivery, Antepartum, Postpartum, Mother/Baby and Newborn care, offering a dynamic, multidisciplinary environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Nursing from a CCNE or ACEN accredited program.
• Current Ohio license or interim permit.
• 2 years experience in relevant care setting preferred.
• Maintains current Ohio RN license.
• Demonstrates computer skills to meet job functions.

Scope of Position:

Position Summary:

The Staff Nurse is responsible for managing and providing care to the patient and his/her family, and for directing and supervising nursing care provided by other members of the patient care team. The Staff Nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, coordinating, delegating and evaluating the nursing care of patients in alignment with the professional practice model.

Minimum Qualifications

For Hire: Degree in Nursing from a CCNE (Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education) or Accreditation

Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) accredited nursing program required.

Current Ohio license or interim permit. 2 years experience in relevant care setting preferred.

On-going: Maintains current Ohio RN license. Meets mandatory educational and health requirements. Demonstrates

computer skills required to meet job functions.
