Job summary

Hebrew SeniorLife is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide compassionate, patient-centered care across our units. The RN will use the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to maximize quality of life and safety.

Qualifications

• Graduate of approved school of nursing; BSN preferred.
• Massachusetts RN license in good standing.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Understand the philosophy and model of care at HSL.
• Strong communication, collaboration and adaptability.

Responsibilities

• Give shift report to incoming staff.
• Provide clinical/supervisory oversight to assigned unit during shift.
• Delegate assignments to the shift team.
• Initiate necessary reports including DPH, incident reports, concern resolutions.
• Assure completion of admissions or discharges during shift.
• Attend rounds with wound/physician teams.
• Oversee LPN assessments and co-sign nursing assessments and initial care plans.
• If acting as charge nurse, develop patient care assignments and schedules.
• Participate in performance improvement projects and staff education.
