Job summary

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus seeks a Staff Nurse to manage and provide care to patients and families, and to direct and supervise nursing care provided by the patient care team on the 21 North unit in the Acute Care Department.

You will assess, plan, implement, coordinate, delegate and evaluate nursing care in alignment with the professional practice model, contributing to patient outcomes, safety, and the overall patient experience.

Qualifications

• Degree in Nursing from a CCNE or ACEN accredited nursing program.
• Current Ohio license or interim permit.

Position Summary: The Staff Nurse is responsible for managing and providing care to the patient and his/her family, and for directing and supervising nursing care provided by other members of the patient care team. The Staff Nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, coordinating, delegating and evaluating the nursing care of patients in alignment with the professional practice model.

Required Qualifications

• Degree in Nursing from a CCNE (Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education) or Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) accredited nursing program required. Current Ohio license or interim permit.
• Experience in relevant care setting preferred.

21 North is a 30-bed unit in the Acute Care Department. We specialise in trauma, orthopedic, and emergency general surgery.
