Job summary

Licking Memorial Health Systems (LMHS) is seeking a clinical competent registered nurse to deliver patient care on 4 West through the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation. You will interact with patients and care teams while maintaining professional nursing standards.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure (OH) and maintain.
• Current CPR card and maintain.
• Obtain/maintain ECG rhythm recognition.
• Work independently.
• LMH is accredited by DNV and TJC, may require annual education related to specialty certifications and standards.

Responsibilities

• Acquire and maintain current knowledge of equipment and procedures used in med/surg care.
• Formulate nursing care plans.
• Safely and accurately administer medications within RN scope.
• Assist physician with invasive/non-invasive procedures on the unit.
• Maintain patient safety and fall risk protocol.
• Document/communicate pertinent patient information.
• Provide direction and supervision to licensed practical nurses and ancillary staff.
• Transcribe physician orders into the hospital system.
• Monitor and ensure timely completion of orders.
• Perform other duties as requested.

Position Summary

A clinical competent registered professional nurse who delivers patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation. Prescribes, delegates and coordinates the nursing care provided to patients throughout the health system. Effectively interacts with the patient, significant others, and health care team members while maintaining the standards of professional nursing.

Responsibilities

• Acquire and maintain current knowledge of all equipment and procedures/treatments generally used in the care of med/surg patients.
• Formulate nursing care plans.
• Safely and accurately administer medications within the scope of RN practice.
• Assist physician with invasive/ non-invasive procedures performed on the nursing unit.
• Maintain patient safety. Identifying patients at risk for falls and following fall risk protocol.
• Document/Communicate pertinent information regarding patient condition.
• Provide direction and supervision to LPN's, POCT's and other ancillary staff
• Accurately transcribe physician orders into Meditech system
• Monitor and ensure the accurate and timely completion of physician orders.
• Perform other duties as requested.

Requirements

• Current R.N. licensure for Ohio and maintain.
• Current CPR card and maintain.
