Berkshire Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for non-scheduled, all shifts in Pittsfield, MA. The position offers hourly pay from 45.25 to 72.12 USD per hour. You will provide patient-centered nursing care and lead the nursing team, ensuring safe delivery of care in line with standards.

Requires Associate's Degree in Nursing with Massachusetts RN licensure and BLS. Three years of recent critical care or ED experience is preferred; BSN is desirable.

DEFINITION/PRIMARY FUNCTIONS

Registered Nurse is the designation given to an individual who is licensed to practice professional nursing, holds ultimate responsibility for direct and indirect nursing care, is a graduate of an approved school for professional nursing, and is currently licensed as a Registered Nurse pursuant to M.G.L. c.112. Included in such responsibility is providing nursing care, health maintenance, teaching, counseling, planning and restoration for optimal functioning and comfort, of those they serve.

The Registered Professional Nurse functions as a health care team leader responsible for the safe delivery of patient-centered, goal oriented care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. The Registered Professional Nurse also directs and guides patient teaching and activities of ancillary personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Experience:

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing. Has a thorough knowledge of nursing principles and procedures.

Education and Training:

Associates Degree in Nursing. BSN preferred.

License, Certification & Registration:

RN - Currently licensed as an RN in Massachusetts

Other Requirements:

Demonstrates continuing education in accordance with State regulations. Assures compliance with unit-specific scope of practice. Must be able to speak the English language in an understandable manner. Must possess sight/hearing senses or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately so the requirements of the position can be fully met.

Other Addendum(s) Requirements:

Minimum of three years recent critical care or ED experience.

National certification in critical care or ED preferred.

The minimum and maximum of the hourly pay range for this position is shown above. Actual rates of pay may vary based on a range of factors including but not limited to experience and qualifications.
