Qualifications

• Education: Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Experience: One (1) year experience in area of specialty or completion of formal course in area of specialty within established timeframe.
• Licenses & Certifications: RN License (Hawaii); Basic Life Support from American Heart Association; Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 12 months of hire from American Heart Association; PICC line certification within one (1) year of hire for Ambulatory Treatment Center nurses.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care and services to patients and families.

• Utilize nursing process to deliver care.

• Teach LPNs and nursing assistive personnel special tasks of nursing care.
• Verify staff competency to perform special tasks of nursing care.

• Serve as resource nurse and act as preceptor.
• Perform administrative and other duties as assigned.
• Maintain clinical expertise and competency necessary to fulfill job responsibilities.
