Job summary

Fisher-Titus Medical Center in Norwalk, OH is seeking a Medical/Surgical RN for full-time night shift (7p-7a). The role focuses on individualized nursing care, admission assessments, and care planning in collaboration with patients and families.

General Summary:

The medical/surgical RN manages individualized, goal-directed nursing care through the use of the nursing process in the principal of primary nursing in accordance with the departmental and hospital policies and procedures.

Essential Functions:

• Assesses patient and completes all admission forms per hospital policy.
• Assesses and diagnoses patient and family needs to provide quality care to assigned patients.
• Develops, discusses, and communicates a realistic plan of care for each patient, in collaboration with each patient/support person in order to address all identified needs.
• Demonstrates the skills and judgment necessary to implement medical plan of care, nursing interventions, and procedures as necessary for the care of the patient.
• Evaluates the identified problems, care provided, and patient’s responses are reassessed in order to meet patient and family needs to ensure overall quality of care delivered.
• Other duties as assigned.
