Job summary

Fisher-Titus is seeking a registered nurse to provide individualized, goal-directed nursing care in the Nursing Pavilion during day shifts. This full-time role in Norwalk, OH involves collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care.

Required: Associate degree in Nursing and ACLS certification; CPR preferred. Benefits include medical and dental coverage, 401(k) match, PTO, tuition assistance, and more.

Qualifications

  • Maintains up-to-date documentation for the nursing team.

Responsibilities

  • Assesses patient and completes admission forms.
  • Assesses and diagnoses patient and family needs to provide quality care.
  • Develops and communicates a realistic plan of care with patients and support persons.
  • Implements medical plan of care and nursing interventions.
  • Evaluates care effectiveness and patient responses; updates as needed.
  • Maintains accurate nursing documentation.

General Summary:

Manages individualized, goal-directed RN nursing care through use of the nursing process and the principles of primary nursing in accordance with departmental policies and procedures. Responsibilities as assigned.

Essential Functions:
  • Assesses patient and completes all admission forms per hospital policy.
  • Assesses and diagnoses patient and family needs to provide quality care to assigned patients.
  • Develops, discusses, and communicates a realistic plan of care for each patient, in collaboration with each patient/support person in order to address all identified needs.
  • Demonstrates the skills and judgment necessary to implement medical plan of care, nursing interventions, and procedures as necessary for the care of the patient.
  • Evaluates the identified problems, care provided, and patient’s responses are reassessed in order to meet patient and family needs to ensure overall quality of care delivered.
  • Maintains up to date and accurate documentation of nursing care provided to ensure the integration of information for use by the healthcare team, in order to ensure quality care.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
