Job summary

Augusta University seeks a Staff Nurse at Midland, GA to provide nursing care for youth at Muscogee YDC under the Department of Juvenile Justice Health Services. You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate care, while guiding nursing activities and ensuring a customer-friendly environment for patients, staff, families and external vendors.

The role requires GA RN licensure, 1 year of clinical experience, BCLS certification, and the ability to lift 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Licensed RN in the State of Georgia.
• 1 year of clinical experience.
• Good organizational and decision-making skills; able to work under pressure; relate well to patients, security staff, visitors, and co-workers.
• Functions within the Georgia Board of Nursing Nurse Practice Act.
• Current Health Care Provider BCLS Certification (American Heart/Red Cross).
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs and perform basic physical tasks.
• Security Clearance by the Georgia Department of Juvenile Justice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care through the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Guide patient teaching, nursing activities, and ancillary staff.
• Promote a customer-friendly environment and provide superior service to youth, facility staff, family, and vendors.
