Job summary

A renowned healthcare provider in New York is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Pediatric Cardiovascular Care Unit. The RN will provide top-notch care for infants and children with complex cardiac conditions and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team. Candidates must have a valid NY RN license, critical care experience, and certifications in BLS and PALS. A BSN degree and pediatric cardiac experience are preferred.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Associates are eligible to apply for a transfer after completion of one (1) year of service in their present position, with the following exception: an Associate who has received a written warning is not eligible for a transfer/promotion prior to six (6) months from date of issuance; an Associate who has been suspended is not eligible for transfer/promotion prior to one (1) year from date of suspension. Probationary period is four (4) months for full-time employees, and six (6) months for part-time employees.

Responsibilities

• The CHAM Heart Center RN will provide care in the Pediatric Cardiovascular Care Unit, providing exceptional care to infants and children with complex cardiac conditions.
• The CHAM Heart Center RN will collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in a fast-paced and high-acuity environment.
• The RN participates in performance improvement/research activities; maintains professional practice standards and clinical expertise; and demonstrates leadership skills.
• The RN demonstrates core and unit specific competencies based on the patient population served.

Requirements

• New York State License for Registered Professional Nurse and current registration or valid permit to practice in New York State as an RN.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of Critical Care Experience.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.

Preferred:

• BSN Degree.
• 1-2 years of Pediatric Cardiac Experience.
• Certification in Specialty.
