Associates are eligible to apply for a transfer after completing one (1) year of service in their current position, with exceptions: an Associate with a written warning is not eligible for transfer/promotion before six (6) months from the warning date; an Associate suspended is not eligible for transfer/promotion before one (1) year from suspension. The probation period is four (4) months for full-time employees and six (6) months for part-time employees.
Provides professional nursing care to assigned patients, including assessment, developing and documenting care and discharge plans, administering medications, and supervising nursing attendants and ancillary staff in patient care activities.
EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE:
Required Experience:
One (1) year of acute care RN experience; exceptional recent graduates considered.
Preferred: 2 years of RN experience in Medical/Surgical, Telemetry, or Emergency Department.
Valid New York State RN license and registration or permit.
Preferred: BSN Degree, BLS/ACLS/PALS Training, Infection Control and Barrier Precaution Certification in specialty, effective communication skills, basic data entry and retrieval skills.
