Salary: The salary range is $34.36/hr to $75.15/hr. The final rate will be determined based on collective bargaining agreement, internal salary equity, candidate experience, qualifications, and budget constraints.

Position Summary: The Staff Nurse I provides direct patient care, advocates for patients, develops educational plans, collaborates with the healthcare team, and supports leadership activities. The role involves integrating standards of nursing practice to ensure quality care.

Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Develop and update patient care plans based on assessments and family input.
2. Collaborate with healthcare team to promote effective patient care.
3. Verify and implement physician orders, document interventions accurately.
4. Develop educational plans with patient and family.
5. Recognize symptoms, prioritize responses, and adapt to patient needs.
6. Delegate tasks appropriately, support and provide feedback to support personnel.
7. Advocate for patients, families, community, and nursing profession.
8. Use evidence-based practices to deliver quality care.
9. Assume Charge Nurse role when assigned.
10. Mentor and serve as a resource for staff and students.
11. Engage in professional growth and development.
12. Perform other duties and participate in projects as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Illinois.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.
• ACLS certification within 6 months of hire.
• Effective communication skills.
• Intermediate computer skills, proficient in EHR.
• Good attendance and interpersonal skills.
