Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
• Advanced resuscitative certification appropriate to population if serving in a charge nurse role.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs based on history, examination, and diagnostic data to provide age-appropriate nursing interventions aligned with the plan of care and standards of practice.
• Foster an environment of caring, compassion, and respect for patients, families, and visitors.
• Utilize health and safety equipment to protect patients and staff.
• Contribute to Nursing Sensitive Quality Indicators through standard work.
• Mentor novice employees and support department growth and hospital-system initiatives with evidence-based practices.
• Demonstrate ongoing professional growth by setting goals and pursuing educational opportunities.
• Float to assist in other like units as needed.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.
