Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital in New York, NY is seeking an Experienced RN for the Emergency Department (ED) on a full-time night shift. ED nurses assess conditions and coordinate rapid multidisciplinary care in a Level I trauma center.

Join a program focused on exceptional patient outcomes, with required NYS RN license, BSN, BCLS/ACLS/PALS, and at least 1 year of ED experience; weekend and holiday work is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing is required.
• Current New York State RN license (or willingness to obtain).
• BCLS, ACLS, PALS certification.
• At least 1 year of previous nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients in the Emergency Department and rapidly arrange multidisciplinary care.
• Provide independent clinical judgment during trauma and emergencies.
• Ensure patient comfort and safety while coordinating care across teams.

Across all departments, our nurses collaborate with paramedics, physicians and others to use induced hypothermia, digital radiology and other novel techniques. With each innovation, we’re impacting the future of emergency medical care.

Preferred Criteria

• Certifications in: TNCC, CEN, ENPC, TPEN

• Strong Emergency Department nursing experience
