Elmhurst Hospital Center seeks a Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality patient care in a trauma center setting. The role requires a valid New York State nursing license and involves responsibilities such as diagnosing health problems and providing essential nursing care. Elmhurst Hospital Center (EHC) is the major tertiary care provider in the borough of Queens. The hospital is comprised of 545 beds and is a Level I Trauma Center, an Emergency Heart Care Station and a 911 Receiving Hospital. It is the premiere health care organization for key areas such as Surgery, Cardiology, Women's Health, Pediatrics, Rehabilitation Medicine, Renal and Mental Health Services.

Under supervision, provides professional nursing care to patients/clients within an assigned unit. Diagnoses and treats responses to actual or potential health problems by means of nursing methods and techniques such as case-finding, health teaching, health counseling and provision of care supportive to and restorative of life and well-being.
1. A valid New York State license and current registration to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State; and
2. Holds, or obtains through facility orientation, a valid and current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA).
In addition to base compensation, you may also receive the following based on the Collectively-Bargained Agreement:
An annual education differential if you currently possess an appropriate degree in nursing or an allied health discipline from an accredited college or university, as listed below:
An annual certification differential if you currently hold appropriate certifications that are nationally recognized in the discipline or area of specialization for which you are employed, as listed below:
An annual certification differential ranging from $1,878 up to $4,878 if you currently hold appropriate certifications that are nationally recognized in the discipline or area of specialization for which you are employed.
An annual nursing experience differential ranging from $987 up to $8,190 for up to 10 years of experience if you have outside nursing experience as a Staff Nurse.
