NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. The shift pattern for this post is 37 hours per week annualised contract mid-August – mid-April (8 months)
Please note the salary is pro rata for part time hours.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Staff Nurse to join the School Immunisation Team. The School Immunisation Nurse Coordinator is responsible for coordinating, leading and managing a team of registered nursing staff and healthcare support workers enabling the delivery of the national public health immunisation programmes to school aged children and young people across NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde and aligned Health and Social Care Partnership areas. Our service is fundamental in taking forward the Public Health Agenda which aims to maximise the health and wellbeing of all school aged children and young people and also contributes to the reduction of health inequalities as well as achieving National and Local health objectives through the focus on preventative care.

This post aligns to one of our four school immunisation service areas. The service model is structured across four teams where the post holder is required to cover across the NHS GG&C HSCP teams:

East Renfrewshire and South Glasgow Team- This Post
Please note this post requires GGC Board wide and cross Boundary working.
Essential Criteria For Application
1st Level Nursing Registration with Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC)
Educated to degree level or equivalent
Knowledge and understanding of national policy drivers for immunisations
Evidence of further professional development within immunisation is essential.
This post requires PVG Scheme Membership / Disclosure Scotland Check.
This posts is a permanent position working an annualised hour’s contract from mid-August to mid-April (8 months), 37 hours per week, Mon to Fri 8.30 to 16.30/16.00. Salary is annualised over 12 month period / paid 24.8 hours per week.
