Scope of Position
The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center - James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute (OSUCCC-James) aims to improve health through research, education, and patient care. The team provides patient-centered care, supporting positive outcomes, patient involvement, and reducing hospital stay lengths. The staff nurse plays a vital role in staff engagement, patient experience, quality, safety, and cost-effective care.
The Staff Nurse manages and provides care to patients and their families, supervises nursing care by team members, and assesses, plans, implements, coordinates, delegates, and evaluates nursing care in line with the professional practice model.
- Degree in Nursing from an accredited program (CCNE or ACEN)
- Current Ohio nursing license or interim permit
- Relevant care setting experience preferred
