Job summary

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is seeking a Staff Nurse to provide and coordinate compassionate, evidence-based nursing care for patients and families. This role supports the patient experience, safety, and quality outcomes in a dynamic care environment.

The Staff Nurse will assess, plan, implement, coordinate, delegate, and evaluate nursing care in alignment with the professional practice model, supervising other members of the care team while maintaining professional standards.

Qualifications

• Degree in Nursing from a CCNE or ACEN accredited program is required.
• Current Ohio nursing license or interim permit is required.
• Experience in relevant care setting is preferred.

Position Summary: The Staff Nurse is responsible for managing and providing care to the patient and his/her family, and for directing and supervising nursing care provided by other members of the patient care team. The Staff Nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, coordinating, delegating and evaluating the nursing care of patients in alignment with the professional practice model.

Required Qualifications

Degree in Nursing from a CCNE (Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education) or Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) accredited nursing program required. Current Ohio license or interim permit. *Experience in relevant care setting preferred.
