The Licensed Practical Nurse at Holzer Health System provides nursing care under the supervision of the RN, following unit and hospital policies. You will care for patients with conditions requiring practical nursing skills and participate in patient teaching.

Ohio licensed LPN with CPR certification is required; NAPNES/OOPNES/OBN credentials and IV Therapy course are preferred. May work on other units as needed and perform other duties.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing.
• CPR required.
• Ohio license.
• Completion of NAPNES/OOPNES/OBN certificate.
• IV Therapy course recommended.

The Licensed Practical Nurse works under the supervision of the RN to provide nursing care according to unit/hospital policies and procedures.They provide nursing care to patients with conditions, which require knowledge and technical skills.Assist with patient teaching.May be required to work on other nursing units where they arecompetent, according to the distribution of staff and patients. Performs other duties as assigned.

Education, Work Experience and Licensure:

• 1. Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing.CPR required.
• 3. Ohio license.Successful completion of pharmacy course, NAPNES, OOPNES,or OBN certificate.Successful completion of OBN approved IV Therapy courseis highly recommended.
