Job summary

The Licensed Practical Nurse at Holzer-Health-System works under the supervision of the RN to provide nursing care according to unit/hospital policies and procedures. They provide nursing care to patients, assist with patient teaching, and may work on other units as needed.

Education includes graduation from an accredited practical nursing program, CPR certification, and an Ohio license. Additional certifications such as NAPNES/OOPNES/OBN and IV Therapy may be highly recommended.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing.
• CPR certification is required.
• Ohio nursing license is required.
• Completion of NAPNES, OOPNES or OBN certificate is mentioned.
• OBN IV Therapy course highly recommended.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care under RN supervision following unit/hospital policies.
• Assist with patient teaching and care activities as assigned.
• May rotate to other units where competent per staffing needs.
