Job summary

NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue is seeking a dedicated registered nurse to join an acute care unit in New York City. You will provide professional nursing care to patients, participate in care planning, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality outcomes.

You will document care, educate patients and families, and uphold nursing standards with ongoing professional development. This role requires NYS RN licensure and BLS certification, with a strong commitment to ICARE

Qualifications

• Valid NYS RN license and current registration to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State.
• Holds, or obtains through facility orientation, a valid and current BLS certification through the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care to patients within an assigned unit.
• Diagnose and treat responses to health problems using nursing methods.
• Develop, implement and evaluate nursing regimens for patients.
• Record and maintain nursing care plans and progress notes.
• Interpret and report patient responses to the health team.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary health team members to plan patient care.
• Assign components of the nursing regimen to allied personnel as appropriate.
• Provide teaching and guidance to allied nursing personnel.
• Participate in setting and maintaining nursing standards and procedures.
• Participate in departmental and interdisciplinary policy discussions.
• Contribute to evaluating nursing care practices and resources.
