Job summary

Responsibilities

• Hand over and take over patient care, review files, medications, and investigations.

• Record ward statistics and manage inventory as directed by the Manager Nursing.
• Educate patients’ families about disease and its treatment.

Job description

Staff Nurse is responsible to promotes and restores patients' health by completing the nursing process, collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members. Providing physical and psychological support to patients and families.

• Handing and taking over of the patients, check patients file, medication, and investigation of the patient.
• Assess the patient’s condition and response to the treatment.
• Monitor patient’s progress and notify changes to the physician.
• Document medical information, events, check vital signs and Mark on patient file.
• Contribute to the learning environment conducive for nursing students and other junior staff & technician in training. *Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, sessions and recertification.
• Provide safe, timely, and quality care to the patients.
• Identify the patient’s need/ problem and plan for nursing care.
• Consult and coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Assist in the recording of appropriate patients/staff, ward statistical data as directed by the Manager Nursing.
• Checking the stock on a regular basis for maintaining the inventory level, and inform Ward in-Charge.
• Maintaining hygienic and safe working environment in compliance with the healthcare procedures.
• Resolving patients’ problems and fulfilling their requirements by applying multifaceted team strategy.
• Educating patients’ families about the disease and its treatment.
