Responsibilities

In accordance with the mission and philosophy of Dignity Health, the Staff Nurse is a professional caregiver responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care for patients and their families.

Incumbents must comply with all applicable laws and rules, including Dignity Health Standards of Conduct, policies, and procedures. They should seek guidance when in doubt, report any potential violations, and assist in investigations as needed. They are also expected to assist in risk evaluation and collaborate with leaders to implement risk mitigation strategies.

Qualifications

• Three years of recent ICU experience with extensive training in cardiac and balloon pump monitoring.
• Completion of annual competencies, unit-specific training, and safety training.

Licensure

• Current California RN license.
• ACLS and BLS certifications from the American Heart Association.

Preferred Experience

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
• Experience in Cath Lab and/or EP lab; hybrid experience preferred.
