Job summary

TBH’s Women’s Health Center seeks a Staff Nurse to deliver ambulatory care, assess patients, and develop nursing plans while educating patients and families. The role requires a valid NYS RN license, BCLS/ACLS, and at least two years in ambulatory care. Strong communication and computer skills (Allscripts, Excel) are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university – HIGHLY PREFERRED
• Minimum two (2) years of experience as Registered Nurse in an ambulatory care clinical setting.
• New York State Licensed Registered Professional Nurse
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• Ability to assess and reassess patients.
• Ability to perform assigned point of care testing (ex. Glucometer)
• Computer application skills – ALLSCRIPTS and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent written and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to patients and families in the ambulatory care setting based on nursing practice standards.
• Assess patients and develop nursing care plans for treating health problems.
• Provide education and counseling to patients and families; delegate tasks when necessary.
