Job summary

The American National Red Cross is seeking a Staff Nurse to deliver compassionate, evidence-based care across blood drives, clinics, and disaster response operations. You will perform assessments, administer medications, and monitor patient status in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

Key duties include accurate EMR documentation, infection control, patient education, and support for volunteers and new staff while upholding Red Cross standards of diversity and service.

Qualifications

• Current RN license is required.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications are required; trauma nursing certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care during blood drives, clinics, and disaster responses
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and monitor vital signs
• Administer medications and treatments according to protocols
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in EMR systems
• Ensure compliance with infection control and safety standards
• Collaborate with physicians, staff, and volunteers to coordinate care
• Educate patients and communities on health, safety, and preparedness
• Participate in disaster response and emergency relief efforts as needed
• Support training of volunteers and new nursing staff
