Job summary
VA St. Louis Health Care System staff neurosurgeon delivers advanced Complex Spine and peripheral nerve care within Surgical Service. Board Certified or Board Eligible with a Complex Spine fellowship is required.
Duties include clinical care, spinal procedures, teaching, and administrative support, with a Recruitment/Relocation Incentive authorized for highly qualified individuals. The role supports inpatient and outpatient care, collaborates with APPs, nurses, and residents, leads perioperative
Qualifications
- Board-certified or board-eligible with a complex spine fellowship.
- Current, full, unrestricted medical license in the United States.
- Residency training approved by ACGME/AOA leading to board eligibility.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality neurosurgical care focusing on complex spine and peripheral nerve conditions.
- Coordinate inpatient/outpatient care with APPs, nurses, and residents.
- Perform complex spinal procedures and lead perioperative teams.
- Provide intraoperative teaching and uphold best practices in safety.
