About this Role

Crusoe Cloud Network Engineering team is looking for an ambitious, experienced team player to join our Network Engineering team. We are responsible for designing, building, and operating the global edge, backbone, and data center network for High Performance Compute (HPC) Clusters with GPUs. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, self-directed, and excited to work on cutting-edge technologies. Strong analytical and communication skills, along with teamwork, are essential.

As a Staff Network Traffic Engineer, you will design and implement solutions focused on Layer 4 load balancing, Layer 4/7 acceleration, global ingress, CMAF, FaaS, and WAF. You will collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable architectures and develop automation and tooling to support our growing platform. This hands-on role offers deep experience in edge, backbone, and HPC-based data center networking.

A Day in the Life:

  • Design, build, and deploy traffic engineering solutions for Crusoe’s global network
  • Develop tools, automations, and metrics for performance and reliability optimization
  • Support incident response and participate in the on-call rotation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Software Infrastructure and Product
  • Work with external vendors and ISPs to validate devices and carrier selections

You Will Thrive In This Role If:

  • 7+ years of experience building and operating large-scale production networks
  • Proficiency in L4/L7 load balancing, TCP/IP, BGP, DNS, and CDN technologies
  • Experience with containerized environments and cloud networking (AWS, GCP, Azure)
  • Strong coding skills in Go, Python, or similar
  • Excellent communication skills and a team player mindset
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience

Compensation:

Up to $230,000 per year plus bonus. Restricted Stock Units are included in all offers. Compensation will depend on your knowledge, education, abilities, internal equity, and market data.
